It was later revealed that the price was a mistake, and it was meant to cost just £16.38. However, the comments received for this product were so funny that I must share it here, should it get erased from the website:
The ones that tickled me fancy were:
~I'd only had it for about six months when it turned into a real boy. If I'd wanted a real boy I could probably have got my hands on one for a good deal less than £1638.

Following my standard testing for all items bought on Amazon, I can reveal it broke into smithereens from just one stamp from my work boots and wasn't even edible.

We were however disappointed with the lack of realism to the true Pinocchio as no matter how many lies the wretched toy told, it's nose never grew:

"Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is a cook who knows his onions"
"God exists, I've met him down the pub, and he likes to drink real ale"
What a load of poppycock. Clearly this toy is therefore only worth a mere £999, and not a penny more.
I shall be writing to my MP, an OAP on PCP. Then we'll see...

Im currently holed up on a traffic island just outside Tipton!!! Using a lidll trolley as shelter and fighting the rats for discarded crisp packets!! all i have is this stupid piece of tat, yeah it was semi amusing pusing its bottom to see if fall to one side like Paris Hilton after an african trip but now my only aiim is to see how far i can shove this up the annus of mr amazons ass!!! An i hope it gives ya splinters!!!!!!
