Bub is now 19 months and 2 weeks old!

He certainly likes helping out with the chores at home. Actually no, he fights for the chores =) He is a natural-born helper. When I took the broom away from him, he screamed madly like I've just abandoned him by the roadside or something.

Bub's so cute when he does the chores. He even helped me hang the clothes up to dry! He is so enthusiastic in everything he does. Allowing him to help with the chores not only teaches him responsibility, it also enabled him to practice on his hand-eye co-coordination.

Kids this age are really easy to pleased. They don't request for specific toys. Everything around them are like toys. Thankfully, bub's still not learned how to differentiate between real building blocks and empty Hello Panda boxes. He stacks the empty boxes just like building blocks. There is no need for me to spend money on toys that he won't be interested in. Chances are, the box that the $100 toy came in was far more exciting and interesting than the toy itself.

I will definitely be letting bub play with lots more simple (and safe) household items, like pots and pans. Or allow him to participate in fun chores like tossing wet clothes into the dryer. Best of all, its free labour ;)
