The Beach House

I took bub to the Beach House Kids Fun Centre some time last month. I've been wanting to take him there since last year but was busy with work/travels. One of the reasons why it clicked with me was because I heard that they provided free tea/coffee to all accompanying adults - it would be great to sit back, relax, watch the kid, and warm up to the cold dreary weather. To my dismay, I found out on arrival that the Beach House had changed management in July and under this new management, the free tea/coffee initiative was abolished and was replaced with free entry for all adults (previously it was $2 per adult). Why was I there again??? For bub, right, not for the free tea/coffee ;)

The Beach House sat on a property that is tucked behind Bethanie Community Care, making it easy for drivers to miss it completely. A Beach House signage caught my eye in time, and I quickly made a left turn after jamming hard on the brakes - there were no cars behind me, thankfully.

When we arrived at 10am, there were already heaps of screaming children and gossiping mothers, but we managed to secure the last remaining empty table. There were bouncy castles, slides, sand pits, basically ANYTHING you can imagine. It was a dream come true for any child!! Even I went wild with excitement :)

The area was divided into sections according to age group. This ensures age-appropriate activities and promotes safety amongst the children. For example, younger children will not be able to enter the section for older children where activities like rock climbing were located.

We were there until 1pm, when we left for lunch at IKEA, before driving back to pick my sister home from work.
